INITIAL EXAMINATION AND ACUPUNCTURE

At our initial visit, we start by taking a full medical history and complete a range of questions that help establish our Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) diagnosis. A physical exam is performed along with palpation over diagnostic acupoints. Acupuncture is performed with needles, aquapuncture, electrostimulation, laser and/or acupressure as indicated by the patient and condition. Please allow 60-90 minutes for our initial evaluation and treatment.

FOLLOW UP ACUPUNCTURE

Recheck appointments will allow us to follow up on a patient’s response and continue acupuncture therapy. Some conditions like acute muscle sprain may resolve quickly with only a few treatments. Chronic conditions likely require more treatments and/or ongoing maintenance treatments. Typically a patient is evaluated and receives several appointments every 10-14 days. As the patient progresses we may go to every 3-4 weeks or more if the patient is comfortable. Please allow 30-45 minutes for recheck appointments.
